A photo and video-clip contest “Hanoi – the city I love” is on from July 1 to September 30.
Organized by Vietnam Data Communications Company Centre 1 (VDC1), the contest aims to attract works depicting the beauty of the scenery, historical relics and daily life and culture, from before and after Hanoi’s expansion.
Vietnam is preparing for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi, and the contest is intended to contribute to the national celebration at year-end.
Foreigners living in Vietnam as well a Vietnamese citizens can enter. The contest particularly targets young contestants, whose works may see the ancient city from young and fresh perspectives. Works made in the past are eligible.
Contestants can register and submit works to VDC1 either via the website congdonganh.vn or by post to 2A Lot, National Thang Long Village, Dich Vong, Cau Giay, Hanoi.
A list of the winners and their entries will be announced on congdonganh.vn. The award ceremony will be held during the anniversary celebration.
